Hello everyone, and welcome to the new and improved Bananamoon website! From this point forward I will be using this site to highlight things I am working on in the world of web development. As the tagline below our logo states there will also be “things” such as items of technological interest to me (and possibly you) and other “stuff”, which will cover everything else that gets posted here. I’m not going to go with a specific theme and will let my posts be freeform and open to any topic.
On the right sidebar I have added a section where I will be posting and rating movies. We have started up our Family Movie Night again and I’ll add the movies as we watch them. Another ongoing project of mine is out home theater computer (HTPC). I’ll have a seperate page for that since I’m constantly updating and adding movies to it.
The Gallery will not be updated that often, and I might even take it down. We have beed using our Facebook page to upload photos so this one is kind of redundant. I’ll reserve the Gallery here for photos I don’t feel need to go on Facebook for everyone and their brother to have access to.
So take a look around and let me know what you think about the new format. I’ll try and update more often than I used to!

I have started dabbling in the world of Wordpress theme design. The theme you see on this site is one of the first that I have implemented. Once I get all the bugs worked out I will be uploading it to this site as well as Roxbox.org for people to use under a Creative Commons license.
Theme designers like to name their themes. If they have multiple themes they somtimes like to name them as a series. We just came from Colorado and loved living there very much. Our kids are “named” after cities/towns in Colorado, so I have decided to name my themes after places in Colorado. The current theme over at Roxbox.org is called “Denver” and the theme here is called “Manitou”, both small towns in Colorado. I’m also working on one called “Bailey” that will be appearing on another one of my sites.
What is a Wordpress Theme you ask? The below was taken from wordpress.org:
Fundamentally, the WordPress Theme system is a way to “skin” your weblog. Yet, it is more than just a “skin.” Skinning your site implies that only the design is changed. WordPress Themes can provide much more control over the look and presentation of the material on your website.
